Pat Gray
Pat Gray...Morning co-host for KSEV-Houston

Pat Gray was born in Helena, Montana, but, as the bumper sticker says: 'Got to Texas as fast as he could'.
Well, fast, is a bit of a stretch. It took a while. He got started in radio during his junior year in high school, at his hometown Top-40 station...one of a whopping THREE radio stations in town. He quickly realized he was on to something, and upon graduation, moved to new jobs in the thriving metropolises of Great Falls, and Billings.

At the age of 20, he landed his first "sizeable" radio job at KISN-FM in Salt Lake City, Utah. There, he met the love of his life, ("brrr, I'm cold, it's cold") Jacque. Before she could realize her terrible mistake, he married her. So, they started their family, and Pat moved from station to station in SLC.

In 1989, at 27, a Program Director called Pat to see if he had any interest in perhaps flying out to Baltimore, Maryland, where he would go on the air at B104, teamed up with a partner for at least one show. The station management had heard tapes of both people, liked them, and wanted to find out how they would sound together. The morning show partner for that show was Glenn Beck. They met at the airport, rode into the station together, and as the story goes, were best friends before baggage claim. Baltimore is also where the family, in 1990, decided to begin home-schooling their children.

From B104, Pat went to WJFK in Washington, DC...then on to the Hartford-New Haven area (with Glenn) to WKCI-FM (KC101). In 1995...Pat & Jacque...and family (4 kids at the time...that total would later swell to 6...and who knows, depending on what time it is...maybe more by now)...for many reasons, decided to leave Connecticut and return to Salt Lake City. Not wanting to leave CT, Glenn sadly stayed behind...and became a forgotten mess, relegated to one day, finally putting together a miserable patchwork of 200 radio stations, a national TV show, magazine, live stage tour, and whatever else...too pathetic to really detail here.

In 2001, Pat jumped at the opportunity to leave music radio, and Salt Lake City, and become a born-again TEXAN, thus beginning his new life as a talk show host.

Then, in December, 2006, everything came together. The opportunity for Pat to join "radio-active" KSEV, with Edd Hendee as his morning show partner, 6-9am...and of course, Dan Patrick in the afternoon, was just too good for all, to pass up. "Meant to be", and "blessed to be here" are the phrases most often heard from Pat when summing up the chance to be working at AM 700 KSEV
